My contacts with Ms. Schneider-Smith are long and varied. Back in 1997, I was director of the Norwalk Public Library and a student in the second class of Project Leadership in Huron County. She taught us leadership skills: problem solving, decision making, initiating change and changing attitude. She assigned us team projects with instructions and a presentation date months later. She worked with other area leadership groups before offering classes at Bowling Green State University-Firelands and Terra Community College.

Over the years, I hired her to do communication classes both for my library in-service sessions as well as group sessions for all Huron County public library staff levels. Our employment group invited her to speak to mid-level managers and HR staff from companies, non-profits, educational and governmental units from Ottawa-Erie-Huron Counties.

Since I have retired and joined the Curriculum Committee of the ElderCollege of BGSU-Firelands, we asked CASS to talk about time management issues to seniors. Again, she performed in an excellent manner.
