COPING SKILLS
Completion, interpretation and discussion of the learning instrument,
Coping & Stress Profile that identifies
the individual's coping skills in four life areas (Personal, Family,
Couple, and Work). Action plans will be developed. 3 hours
The participants will introduce themselves with a stress producer
for them.
From the list, the following questions will be discussed: What
can be changed? Of those that can be changed, which do I really
want to change? How can I change these stress producers or myself
to be more productive? 1-2 hours
What is stress?
Stress Test about working conditions will be completed and discussed,
includes developing action plans(s) to reduce stressful working
conditions where possible.
Low stress working techniques 1 hour
Lists of stress relievers
Stress relievers: deep breathing technique, visualization, dress
rehearsal, mini-vacation, progressive relaxation
Some survival tips on balancing home, family, and work. 2
